The La Grange girls soccer team played their home finale Tuesday, beating Rockdale 1-0 on a goal by Ellee Sodolak. The Lady Leps are now 8-3 in district and 11-7 overall and have clinched the runner-up spot in District 244A. The Lady Leps close out the regular season Friday at Smithville at 6 p.m.

Abbott ended Fayetteville’s amazing boys basketball season with a 60-58 win Friday at Austin’s Burger Center. The Lions trailed by nine at halftime but stormed back to pull within one point late in the fourth quarter but couldn’t complete the comeback.

La Grange High School hosted the Leopard Relays Thursday with 10 boys teams and nine girls teams competing. The events ended up being shuffled significantly to try to beat the threat of forecasted severe weather.
