• The Schulenburg softball team lost to Shiner Tuesday 7-2 as the Lady Horns fell to 12-8 overall and 5-6 in district. Brianna Vavra pitched a complete game with five strikeouts and Tamara Otto had two of the Lady Horns hits. Monday Schulenburg pounded Flatonia 10-0.

• The Flatonia baseball team beat Schulenburg 8-4 Monday and then knocked off Ganado 4-0 Tuesday as the Bulldogs improved to 12-3.

• The Fayetteville baseball team defeated Iola Monday 8-7 Jack Schley and Chance Konvicka each had two hits for the Li-Titan ons, who scored two in the bottom of the seventh to win. Reid Gross pitched five innings of two-run ball and Travis Gully pitched two innings of one-hit, one-run ball. Fayetteville is 7-5 overall and 6-3 in district. They play Iola again on Friday.

• The Flatonia Lady Dog softball team defeated the Bloomington Lady Cats 15-0 last week as Summer Sodek pitched for Flatonia and only gave up one hit and had five Ks in the three inning game. Monday the Lady Bulldogs lost to Schulenburg 10-0 and Tuesday lost to Ganado 22-6.
