The La Grange volleyball team had multiple reasons to celebrate Friday. The Lady Leps survived a comeback attempt by Sealy to beat the Lady Tigers 25-23, 25-13, 19-25, 18-25, 15-10.

With the regular season reaching its halfway mark, the La Grange football team is flying high. For the second consecutive week the Leopards recorded a dominating win over a historic rival.

The Schulenburg volleyball team defeated Hempstead Friday 25-5, 25-10, 25-10 as the Lady Horns improved to 19-17 overall and 4-2 in district. Greenli Van Zandt had 14 kills in that match, Haylee Vacek had 10 and Kimber Bartosh had five.

The Round Top-Carmine volleyball team defeated Weimar Thursday as the Cubettes improved to 18-8 this season. The final scores were 25-- 11, 25-27, 25-15, 25-21.

The Flatonia volleyball team defeated Bloomington Friday 25-8, 25-5, and 25-10. The Flatonia football team celebrated homecoming with a big 41-14 district-opening victory over Bloomington Friday. The Bulldogs’s Adrian Anderson ran for 157 yards and four touchdowns. Quarterback Boston Targac completed 13 of his 17 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns (to Bryson Morrill and Israel Netro).

The Fayetteville volleyball team has jumped out to an impressive 17-10 record, and the Lady Lions are currently ranked No. 13 in the state in Class 1A.
