“Shoot With the Vets” Held at Fayette County Gun Club

On August 22, 2026, Columbus Chapter 1127 of the Vietnam Veterans of America held a fundraising Clay Shoot at the Fayette County Gun Club. The event is called “Shoot with the Vets” The funds raised are used for scholarships and helping needy vets. At the May 1-3, 2026, Texas Council State VVA meeting in Tyler Texas out of the 35 Texas chapters, Columbus Chapter 1127 was the number one in total awarded scholarships and amounts given thanks to the support of our local sponsors. Chapter 1127 awarded eight scholarships this past school year. Pictured left above is some of the shooting action, and right, the awards ceremony.
