The La Grange girls basketball team had a strong start to district play Friday as they beat Smithville 53-38, powered by a team-high 17 points from Kylie Trlicek and 13 more from Campbell Cooper.
The Lady Leps improved to 10-5 with the win and play at Taylor Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. as district play continues.
