Schulenburg vs. Anderson-Shiro

This Week’s Football Previews

When: 7 p.m. Friday Where: Anderson Records:

Schulenburg is 0-6 and 0-1 in district. Anderson-Shiro is 4-2 and 1-0.

Of Note: The first game under new interim head coach Marty Bigham started well last week for the Shorthorns as they were tied 20-20 with Thrall at halftime before the Tigers pulled away to win 41-20 ... Owen Brenek ran for 83 yards and threw for 136 in that game, and Denver Carr caught a pair of touchdown passes for Schulenburg ... Now the Shorthorns turn their attention to Anderson-Shiro, which pulled off a 42-33 upset of Lexington last week. The Owls have already matched their win total from last year.
