Lady Horn Volleyball Team Wins National Academic Award

The Schulenburg Lady Horn Volleyball Team is proud to announce that they are a recipient of the 2022-2023 United States Marine Corps - American Volleyball Coaches Association (USMC/AVCA) Team Academic Award. It is the 10th consecutive year that the Lady Horns have received the award. Team members include: Kieryn Adams, Jessalyn Gipson, Haylie Goode, Avery Helms, Mackenzie Kunschick, Madison Kunschick, Meredith Magliolo, Tamara Otto, Brooke Redding, Rilee Sanchez, Grace Schramek, Keaton Walker, Harly Zapalac, and Landry Zapalac. Some 487 High School Teams from across the United States of America received recognition and 49 Teams were from Texas. The Lady Horns also received the AVCA Team Academic Award Honor Roll for the 4th consecutive year. This designation is for High School Teams that were in the Top 20 percent in the United States based on their Team Cumulative GPA. 145 Teams in the United States of America with 20 Teams were from Texas. The Lady Horns overall cumulative team GPA for 2022-2023 was 96.127.
