Three Fayette County Volleyball Teams Win Important District Matches Tuesday
Schulenburg Beats Weimar
The Schulenburg volleyball team jumped into first place in their district standings with a four-set victory at Weimar Tuesday.
The Lady Horns won 2522, 25-23, 20-25, 25-14.
Emmrie Marx had 19 kills. Meredith Magliolo had 10 kills, Jessalyn Gipson had nine and Reagan Dusek had six.
Magliolo had four blocks. Kieryn Adams had 34 digs. Madison Kunschick had 12 and Keaton Walker had 10.
Landry Zapalac had 40 assists.
Tuesday’s victory improved the Lady Horns’ record to 25-13 overall and 4-0 in district.
Weimar fell to 3-1 in district with the loss.
Fayetteville Rolls Past McDade
The Fayetteville volleyball team swept McDade Tuesday, winning 25-15, 25-19, 25-14.
Kayme Schley had 11 kills for the Lady Lions and Peyton Jurecka and Lainey Gromaski each had four.
Cambree Denham had six aces.
Emily Keilers had 14 digs and Marissa Rohde had 11.
Rohde had 21 assists. Fayetteville improved to 14-20 overall and 3-1 in district with the win.
RT-C Bashes Waelder
The Round Top-Carmine volleyball team beat Waelder 25-6, 25-3, 25-8 Tuesday to improve to 27-7 overall and 3-0 in district.

Flatonia Falls to Shiner in Three
The Flatonia volleyball team lost to Shiner Tuesday 25-15, 25-19, 25-17.
The Lady Dogs stats from Tuesday included: Aces: Greenli VanZandt with 3, Katelin Sullivan with 2, and Emma Kosler with 1.
Assists: Summer Sodek with 12, Katelin Sullivan with 5, and Elzah Herrera with 1.
Digs: Elzah Herrera with 9, Summer Sodek with 8, and Katelin Sullivan with 7.
Kills: Katelin Sullivan with 8, Summer Sodek with 5, Emma Kolser with 4 and Emma Klozik with 4.
