Fayette County Fair Commercial Heifer Show and Sale
The Fayette County Fair Commercial Heifer Show and Sale took place on Aug. 25 and 26.
61 Fayette County 4-H and FFA members competed in the following competitions, Recordbook/Interview, Herdsman Quiz, and Salesmanship Contest. 132 head of high-quality bred heifers were exhibited and sold for a total of $431,900 which is a $3,272 per head average, both were records for this event. Over $12,000 was awarded in premium money to top place heifers and educational event winners.
The Grand Champion Pen of 2 Heifers was exhibited by Kole Schmitt and the buckle sponsor was HEB. The Reserve Champion Pen of 2 was exhibited by Tatum Fritsch and the buckle sponsor was Colorado Valley ICA. Other placings in the Pen of 2 Heifers included 3rd place-Crockett Guenther, 4th place-Tate Fritsch, 5th place-Logan Fritsch, 6th place-Tess Eilers, 7th place –Reagan Williams, 8th place-Lawson Fritsch, 9th place-Keagan Supak, and 10th place-Jill Eilers.
The Grand Champion Pen of 1 Heifer was exhibited by Kooper Kirts and Carmine State Bank was the buckle sponsor. The Reserve Champion Pen of 1 Heifer was exhibited by Kandon Kaspar and the buckle sponsor was Round Top State Bank. Other placings in the Pen of 1 Heifer include, 3rd place-Tess Eilers, 4th place-Kandon Kaspar, 5th place-Luke Behnke, 6th place-Brian Finke, 7th place-Raelynn Beseda, 8th place-Teague Weinert, 9th place-Keagan Supak, and 10th place-Emory Malota.
The Grand Champion Halter Heifer was exhibited by Jake Kubala and the buckle sponsor was Capital Farm Credit. The Reserve Champion Halter Heifer was exhibited by Teague Weinert and the buckle sponsor was Kleiber Tractor and Equipment. Other places in the Pen of 1 Heifer include, 3rd place-Kandon Kaspar, 4th place-Rheagan Karisch, 5th place-Kaylyn Beseda, 6th place-Emory Malota, 7th place-Brian Finke, 8th place-Logan Fritsch, 9th place-Madison Markwardt, and 10th place-Nataley Polasek.
