Steven Avary was born a twin on Jan. 11, 1991, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, in conditions of extreme poverty, the 8th child of a Honduran fruit vendor. He and his twin brother were given up for adoption at age four months, and his twin brother disappeared under suspicious circumstances. This early trauma had a deep effect on Steven, and he unconsciously sought his missing twin brother throughout his life.

Our beloved Bill, William Edward von Rosenberg, Architect Emeritus, of Brenham, age 81, passed away in his sleep at home on Dec. 2, 2025. Bill was born in La Grange to loving parents Eunice and Sam. The values instilled in him growing up on the dairy farm gave him the work ethic that characterized him throughout his life. Bill deeply appreciated, respected and loved the land and its creatures. Bill’s eye for excellence and his unique ability to recognize and foster beauty in all things would propel him to pursue a career inArchitecture.
