It is with deep sadness that the family of Philip Henry Kipp announces his passing on Jan. 16, 2026. A man of immense character and talent, Phil leaves behind a legacy defined by his craftsmanship, his mentorship, and his devotion to his family.

Phil was a world-renowned craftsman whose work was featured in multiple major publications for the beautiful buildings he created. Beyond his professional achievements, he was a powerful and influential mentor to countless young men, guiding them with a wealth of knowledge and a steady hand.

To those who knew him best, Phil was one of the most passionate and influential personalities they had ever met. He possessed a great sense of humor and a legendary, infectious laugh that could fill a room. While he could be polarizing, his spirit was undeniable, and his impact on his inner circle was profound. He was a pillar of strength for his family and a man of deep convictions.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Jeanie; his three daughters, Melissa, Andrea (Daniel), and Kerrie Kipp; and his three grandchildren, Jordan, Olivia, and Natalie. He also leaves behind his great-granddaughter, Miss Meiko Mai, who knew him affectionately as her “Cowboy” and was completely enamored with him.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his four older sisters: Carol, Nancy, Suzi and Patty, and well as many nieces and nephews who held him in high regard.

Phil will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and hearing his laugh.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to honor Philip’s life on Feb. 22, 2026, at Henry K’s Tavern from 2-8 p.m. Please come by to share stories, share a laugh, and remember a life welllived.
