Patricia “Pat” Hanna, age 68, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 23, 2024, in La Grange leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.

Keng Funeral services for James Keng, 80 of Ledbetter, were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, 2024 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Doug Tipps officiating. A private family burial took place in the Ledbetter Cemetery.

Louis Fridel, known as Al to friends and family, passed peacefully in his sleep at his home in Cedar Park on July 25, 2024 at the age of 89. Al was born to Agnes and Louis Fridel in 1935.

A Mass of Christian burial for Luis Baltazar Hernandez, 56 of La Grange, is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 30, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange with interment in the La Grange City Cemetery.

Herman Rudolph Schramm III, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Aug. 23, 2024, in Austin surrounded by his family.

Richard Arthur Laibson, known to all as “Rock” for his steadfast nature and perhaps his ability to shake the room with his laughter, left this world on Aug. 20, 2024, in Austin. Born on June 7, 1950, in Peekskill, N.Y., Rock’s journey through life was as full of warmth and humor as the man himself.

Kenneth John Muenzenmayer (age 74) of Brenham, was born June 10, 1950, in Avon Lake, Ohio, and passed away peacefully in his home on Aug. 25, 2024, surrounded by his family and pets.

Dolores (Kahlich) Guenther Vacek, 95 of La Grange, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024. Dolores was born to Alfred and Emma Kahlich on December 19, 1928, at their new home in Schulenburg. She attended St. Rose Catholic School. After graduating 8th grade in 1942, she attended Schulenburg High School, graduating in 1946 and started working at First National Bank in Schulenburg. She married Frank J. Guenther Jr. on April 10, 1948, and moved to La Grange where they lived on the Guenther farm for 10 years during which time they were blessed with their first four children: Philip, Thomas, Judy, and James. In 1960 they moved into town and in 1969 were blessed with their fifth child, Annette. Dolores and Frank were married for 37 years, enjoying life with their children, raising cattle and hay on the Guenther farm, managing Guenther Flying Service and later Guenther Communications and rental lots. Frank passed away in May of 1985.

Bessie M. (Poncik) Hoffmann, passed away peacefully on Aug.

Theodore (T.C.) Mensik, longtime farmer and rancher in Weimar and Holman, died peacefully at home on Aug. 13. He was born March 22, 1924 in Holman and had just celebrated his 100th birthday this year.
