Hanna

Patricia “Pat” Hanna, age 68, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 23, 2024, in La Grange leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.

She was born in Wichita, Kan., and spent her childhood in Coffeyville, Kan. She married her late husband, Everett Hanna, and they later moved to Texas. Pat and Everett had two children, Jon-Tyler and Caitlin. Pat was a nurturing and devoted mother. She strived to provide opportunities for her children to pursue their passions and supported them endlessly. Her family was her most precious and valued gift in life. She fostered a home filled with laughter, quality and intentional time together, and unconditional love.

Pat dedicated her professional life to enlightening and inspiring young minds as an elementary school teacher. She believed in the power of education to transform lives and invested in her students, often going above and beyond to ensure they not only learned but thrived.

Her vibrant spirit led her to a life rich in experiences and connections. She found joy in the simple pleasures of playing cards with friends and family, taking relaxing boat rides around Grand Lake, and traversing the globe with Everett, leaving a trail of irreplaceable and lasting friendships in every corner of the world. Pat’s ability to make friends was unparalleled, a testament to her open heart and home.

She is survived by her children Jon-Tyler Hanna (wife Nicole, and sons, Gabriel and Christopher), Caitlin Owens (husband Ross, and children Ezekiel and Stella), sister Carla Adrian (and daughter, Stevie Marie), sister-in-law Connie Bossman (husband Clyde, and children Tonya and Stephen), brother-in-law Robert (wife Lisa, and children Sarah Beth and Matthew), and sister-in-law Judy Hanna, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Everett Hanna, and her parents, Dwight and Mary Bennett.
