Funeral services for Matthew Siegmund, 45 of Ledbetter, were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Wilbern Michalk, Rev. Robert Tiner, and Vicar Josh Hahn officiating. Burial will follow in the Giddings City Cemetery.

Funeral services for Sadie Easley, 88 of Carmine, were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022 at Greenvine Baptist Church in Greenvine with Pastor Jack Faulkner officiating. Burial followed at the Solid Rock Ranch Cemetery in Carmine.

A candle that burned brightly and lighted the way for so many for so long flickered for a moment and then burned out on Jan. 14, 2022, when Robert “Bob” H. Smalley, M.D., 81, of La Grange, passed peacefully from the comfort of his earthly home into the loving arms of his Lord and his Savior.
