La Grange Dairy Queen Customers Pay It Forward
Dairy Queen, which is a known Texas staple, also happens to be a frequent place of kindness. On Tuesday at the Dairy Queen location in La Grange, a succession of customers in the drive-thru line felt the need to pay it forward by spreading something this world during these difficult times seems to be missing, kindness.
“This does happen frequently. That day a large family bought ice cream and decided to pay for the car behind them. It kept going for a while. I think it is nice and sweet to see people care and are still willing to do that kind of gesture,” said Karen Parks, who has been with Dairy Queen for 14 years and is the current manager.
LouAnn Adcox, one of the ones whose meal was paid for, said, “I was so surprised and at the same time doubting what I was being told. ‘Your bill has been taken care of by the person in front of you.’ I understand that this frequently happens at Starbucks however La Grange can begin a Texas-Size it with kindness. Kindness goes a long way and it is the little things in life after all. Picking up the bill for the individual behind you in line is wonderful for the giver as well as the recipient.”
Hopefully, people will continue to pay it forward and Texas-Size their kindness because that’s what we like about Texas.
