Tipton Lottery Case: Parole & Restitution Update

Iowa officials revoked parole for Eddie Tipton, a man with local connections who is serving a 25-year sentence for rigging computers to win lottery jackpots in multiple states. The Iowa Board of Parole had granted Tipton parole for good behavior back in January.

Easter at the Barnyard

The Jersey Barnyard outside La Grange continued their Easter Weekend tradition by holding their 24th annual Easter egg hunt and other festivities Saturday. An estimated 8,000 eggs were part of the hunts, which were divided by age group. Sack races, egg tosses, music, and feeding of the barnyard animals were all part of the event. Photos by Jeff Wick

Easter on the Bluff is this Saturday in La Grange

This Saturday, April 16, Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites will host Easter on the Bluff, reminiscent of a once a popular social occasion at the Bluff Schuetzenverein Pavilion. This year’s event will feature interpretive programs and a children’s egg hunt. Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnics, beverages, and chairs or blankets.
The egg hunt at the park will begin at 6:30 p.m. This is a shot from previous Easter hunt there.
