Second Annual Habitat Skydiving This Weekend

Over the weekend, Fayette County Habitat for Humanity (FCHFH) received a little Easter miracle just in time for their 2nd Annual Skydiving Event, which will be held this Sunday, April 24 at Texas Skydiving in Lexington.

Animal Shelter Update

As of April 15, the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter has 83 animals in care: 42 cats and 41 dogs. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

Fayette Co. Fire Calls

The Fayette County Firefighter’s Association reports the following calls for the week of April 10-16: Medical - 5 Gas Leak/Odor - 1 Grass Fires - 3 Accidents - 2.

KC’s Donate to Hands of Hope

Hands of Hope received a generous donation from the Knights of Columbus Chromcik Council No. 2574. 100% of this monetary donation will be used to purchase over 180 food bags for La Grange ISD children. CASA Executive Director Speaks to CDA No. 1962

Court Annunciation No. 1962, La Grange, held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Msgr. Mazurkiewicz Center. Guest speaker was Kristi Bauer, Executive Director of CASA. She gave a very informative talk about the services that are offered by CASA in Fayette, Bastrop & Lee Counties. She also expressed that if anyone is interested, they are always in need of volunteers. Please do not hesitate to contact them if you are interested in volunteering.

Soft Ribbon Cutting at Round Top Merc

Plans have been made for a “soft” ribbon cutting on Wednesday, April 27 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Round Top Mercantile as the store transitions to ownership by Farmers Lumber Company of La Grange.
