Saturday a serious two-car automobile accident with an entrapment occurred off of Hwy 95 near Cistern. The Muldoon Fire Chief Stephen Kelly Chief immediately called for mutual aid from Flatonia Fire Department and Air Evac 47. “Our departments have a great relationship and worked collaboratively to extricate two patients and send one via Air Evac to the hospital and three by ambulance. Unfortunately, there was one fatality,” Kelly said. Muldoon firefighters continued to provide traffic control to protect Texas DPS while their investigation was ongoing.

Schulenburg Police arrested a man for leaving the scene of an accident early on Thursday morning, Dec. 8, after he allegedly struck an electrical pole.

The American Legion Post and Auxiliary Unit No. 102 will host their annual Christmas Party on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at the VFW Home located at Veterans Memorial Drive at the Fairgrounds in La Grange. The annual Country Christmas celebration is finally here.
