Special Unit Raids Carter Motel Room

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office raided a room filled with drugs at the Carter Motel in La Grange on Monday, April 17. Investigators seized 4.8 oz of methamphetamine, 6.8 oz of ecstacy pills and over one pound of marijuana, along with narcotic sales paraphernalia and a 9mm handgun.

The Fayette County Republican Women will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, April 20 at La Grange City Hall, 155 E. Colorado in La Grange. There will be two speakers. Amy Mundy, District Director from Texas Federation of Republican Women, will give a brief history of TFRW and its impact on Republican politics over the past several decades. Also, Cindy Seigel, Harris County Republican Party Chairman, will share what they are doing in her county to restore election integrity. Mental Health Plan Passes Senate Vote

On April 13 the Texas Senate passed Senate Bill 26, authored by Senator Lois W. Kolkhorst (R-Brenham), which will create new programs to fund and expand mental health services across the state.
