‘Back to the 80s’ Takes the Stage This Weekend With 60+ Kids

The Fayette County Community Theatre (FCCT) will present a production of “Back to the 80s” by Dean O’Carroll on Aug. 4, 5, and 6. Directed by Hayden Splawn with his assistant director Bryssa Rios and program director Melissa Weltner, the comedy features over sixty area students.

End of Summer Reading Party at the Library

The Fayette Public Library hosted its end-of-summer party this past Thursday, July 27. From facepaint to snowcones to a foam zone (pictured left), there were plenty of fun activities for children to do. This party was the last in a series of events the library hosted this summer to encourage kids to find a love for reading. The theme of the summer reading program this year was “All Together Now” and saw over 300 participants involved.

So now, when anyone calls 211 looking for services, you can ask for the senior center in Schulenburg, and they will give you the phone number to Senior Connections.

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 16-22: Animal Complaint On July 20, Code Enforcement Officer and Animal Control Gina Harden received a call about a peacock running around the houses in the 200 block of August. Agency Assist On July 17, Officer Juan Castilleja assisted at the intersection of I-10 and Hwy.
