It’s a jungle out there. Several months ago, we turned off the answering machine on our home phone to stop (or at least slow down) the barrage of robocalls and telephone solicitors working all sorts of con games. Has it helped? Well, it hasn’t hurt. We still get stung now and then when we answer spoof phone calls that appear to be from people we know.

City of LG Water Meter Clean Out Continues

The City of La Grange would like to remind utility customers that Aqua-Metric Sales Company is still going throughout the city cleaning out water meter boxes to prepare for the new water meter installations that are going to occur later this year.

Proposed County Budget Approved in 3-2 Vote

Fayette County Commissioners Court approved the proposed budget for next year with a split 3-2 vote last Thursday, Aug. 10. Pct. 1 Commissioner Jason McBroom and Pct. 3 Commissioner Harvey Berckenhoff cast the opposing votes.
