Bonham Foundation Is More Than a Working Cattle Ranch

Nestled between Weimar and Columbus, the Bonham Foundation is more than a working cattle ranch, it’s a natural classroom and a beacon for the future of land stewardship. With a mission rooted in education, conservation, and advocacy, we’re cultivating a legacy that inspires love for the land and a commitment to protect it for generations to come.
The Bonham Ranch is bordered by the Colorado River and Harvey Creek. Organizations such as Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas A&M Agrilife Extension, Texas Grazing Land Coalition, local wildlife management associations, 4-H and FFA chapters among others are encouraged to host programs, provide demonstrations, and conduct research with the ranch as a backdrop.

Pesticide, Disease & The Dirty Dozen

Some folks still doubt that agriculture pesticides are dangerous. They say, “We’ve been using them for years and the population is still growing, so how could they be harming us?” You might need to rethink that position. Just because something doesn’t kill you immediately, doesn’t make it safe. The threat of long term chronic exposure is a real!
