In Tuesday’s story about the Round Top Precinct Courthouse, we incorrectly quoted a portion of the heated exchange during the Round Top Town Council meeting last week between Round Top Mayor Judith Vincent and Mark Neeley, a resident who lives near the town. Neeley’s quote should have read, “You’re a public servant, not the public master.” Following that exchange, the Record quoted Vincent saying “That is contempt,” but Vincent later told the Record that her words were “That’s your intent.”

Even though the Schuenburg basketball team didn’t make the playoffs, with the team’s win in their season finale against Louise, Shorthorns head coach Richard Hoogendoorn won his 500th game with the school.

On Feb. 10, The Rose, a Mobile Mammography Health Coach, provided a full day of life-saving mammograms through a collaborative effort of Houston’s The Rose Center for Breast Health Excellence, Bluebonnet Trails Community Services and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Services.

A crew from Crosspoint Community Church and Vision Puerto Rico took a Mission trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico where they did repairs still from 2017 Hurricane Maria. They did work on two churches and a school playground. They were there Feb. 5-12.
