AMEN Encourages Reusable Bags

The AMEN Food Pantry will be transitioning from using throw away plastic bags to reusable bags for clients’ food selections in the coming months. A request is being made to individuals, churches, organizations, and businesses to help with this cause by donating clean, gently used or new reusable grocery/shopping bags to the pantry. Donated bags may be dropped off at AMEN on Mondays from 8:30 a.m. - noon or Thursdays from 10 a.m. - noon. The food pantry continues to serve the community’s food insecure families with shelf stable foods along with fresh vegetables, bread products, and frozen meats. All of this would not be possible without generous support. AMEN Board members Mark Hebert, Susan Schultz, Linda Oltmann, and Mary Vasek at the Food Pantry to promote usage of reusable bags for clients’ food selections with an appeal for donations of bags from the community.
