The Fayette County Junior Livestock Show judging was held Thursday and Friday at the fairgrounds in La Grange. The sale was held Saturday.

A new shop located inside the historic Hermes building on the Courthouse Square in La Grange officially opened last week. Soulstruck, run by mother and daughter Lisa Boisset Babcock and Chloe Babcock, offers new and vintage clothing, jewelry, home furnishings, art and unique gifts. They specialize in 1970s and 80s vintage clothing and music-related paraphernalia. The store even offers a selection of vintage vinyl records and concert posters. Visitors to The Fayette County Record may have noticed some nice new plants in the pots out front of the newspaper office. That’s thanks to Max Faske, 12, who volunteered to work at The Fayette County Record for a day during spring break labeling papers and making our front planters beautiful. Max is the grandson of Record advertising director Becky Weise.

Fayette County Emergency Management Coordinator Angela Hahn reports that the County is regaining control over its computer systems following what appears to be a cyber attack last month. The “incident,” as County leaders have referred to it, began around March 2 when County employees were locked out of their email along with most other county computer systems.
