Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Drug Arrest

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Wednesday night, April 1 at around 10:54 p.m. Deputy Josh Jones conducted a traffic stop on St. Hwy 71 eastbound near Hatterman Rd. on a silver Honda Accord for a traffic violation.

Shelter Always In Need of Volunteers

The animal shelter is open from 10 a.m .- 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for all normal operations. The shelter is closed to the public with staff onsite for animal care from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Monday. Reclaims are allowed on Monday after 10 a.m. by appointment. If you believe your lost pet may be in care, call (979) 966-0021 to confirm and learn requirements for reclaim.

AMEN Serves Over 300 Families In March

AMEN appreciates all in the community that provided food assistance for the month of March. This would include all that provided monetary donations, food drives and the AMEN Gardens. The gardeners have been providing beets, kale, carrots, and many other leafy vegetables.
