La Grange High School graduate Kayla Wallace is the first valedictorian of the new Texas Tech University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Wallace and 60 others graduated in the inaugural class May 18 at the Amarillo Civic Center Auditorium.

Fayette County EMS Director Josh Vandever has successfully completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Management from the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. The program focuses on key areas such as leadership, public policy, and strategic management skills that are essential in today’s fast-paced and increasingly challenging public service environment.

As Memorial Day approaches, Senior Connections, a vibrant senior activity center located in Schulenburg, is gearing up for a week filled with camaraderie, creativity, and celebration. With satellite locations in Weimar and Flatonia, Senior Connections aims to foster community among seniors in Southern Fayette County and Colorado County. Next week, we honor those who served in the armed services, welcome new members, and offer many engaging activities.
