Man Tries To Bite An Officer

Schulenburg Police arrested a man after he allegedly tried biting an officer during an escape attempt. According to a report from the Schulenburg Police Department, Officers received a tip last Wednesday, Feb.

Land Division Still a Hot Topic at Courthouse

County leaders continue to grapple with the issue of rural development and land division. The topic was once again a major point of discussion at the Fayette County Commissioners Court last Thursday, Feb. 23.

Rural Non-Profit Networking to Meet

The next gathering of the Rural Non-Profit Networking Group (RNNG) will be hosted by Lutherhill Ministries. According to Executive Director Matt Kindsvatter, Lutherhill staff and leadership will encourage nonprofit participants to keep in mind that their good works are simply too good to keep to themselves.

Mrs. Hoelscher and Mrs. Tousek’s La Grange Middle School 8th grade classes are having a bake sale in front of Brawley Dental in La Grange on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 8:30 a.m. until sold out. The bake sale will benefit the La Grange Optimist Club to help with sign up fees and equipment. Please come out and help our local youth.

25th Annual Quilt Show Opens

The KC Hall in La Grange was a flurry of activity Wednesday afternoon as volunteers with the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild were setting up for the 25th annual Best Little Quilt Show in Texas (as shown in the photos above and below).
