Stargazing Event Set at Lake Fayette

Lake Fayette’s Park Prairie Park invites the community to experience the wonders of the night sky at “Night Watch: Stargazing at Lake Fayette” on Saturday, September 20, from 8-11 p.m. This special evening was chosen to coincide with a new moon, ensuring the darkest skies for optimal stargazing— weather permitting.

La Grange Noon Lions Club Supports Red Ribbon Campaign

La Grange Noon Lions Club supports La Grange ISD during Red Ribbon Campaign week. The Red Ribbon campaign is an alcohol, tobacco, drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October. The La Grange Noon Lions club provided 2,000 drug awareness wristbands sporting school colors to students across the district.

The Round Top Area Historical Society Breakfast Club Announces Second Film

The “Breakfast Club” at the Round Top Area Historical Society (RTAHS) announces its second film of the 2025-2026 season, “Leave Her to Heaven” for Saturday, Sept. 20. This stylish, 1946 psychological thriller starring Gene Tierney, Cornel Wilde, Jeanne Crain, Vincent Price and Chill Wills will be shown in the Jaehne Pavilion on the RTAHS campus located at 397 E. Mill Street behind the U. S. Post Office. The film will start at 10 a.m. and end at noon. Coffee, juice and water will be served.
