Dangers Of Leaving Children Alone In Or Around Cars

With COVID-19 still a threat, parents may be tempted to leave a child in the vehicle while they run into the store. Leaving a child in a vehicle, which can quickly heat up, is always a dangerous idea — even if it is for a very short time.

Flag Day Proclamation Signed

Coronavirus Updates

The number of total coronavirus cases in Fayette County has risen by two since late last week to 38. That number includes 17 active cases, 19 recoveries and two deaths.

Joe Nichols to Headline Fayette Co. Fair

The organizers of The Fayette County Fair are moving forward with plans for this year’s fair Labor Day weekend, while acknowledging that because of coronavirus concerns, “we have been working with our county officials and are prepared to do what they ask of us,” said Fayette County Fair President Michael Zuhn.
Joe Nichols (whose hits include “Brokenheartsville,” “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” “Gimme That Girl,” “Sunny and 75,” will headline Saturday night’s entertainment at the Fayette County Fair Labor Day Weekend.

EMS Details Budget Requests
