Joe Nichols to Headline Fayette Co. Fair
The organizers of The Fayette County Fair are moving forward with plans for this year’s fair Labor Day weekend, while acknowledging that because of coronavirus concerns, “we have been working with our county officials and are prepared to do what they ask of us,” said Fayette County Fair President Michael Zuhn.
Friday, fair officials announced that the Senior Citizens Dinner events at the KC Hall in La Grange would be cancelled because of the coronavirus. That event has served an unofficial kick-off on the opening day of the fair, and typically drew 400-500 senior citizens to the hall.
Also Friday, fair officials announced the entertainment lineup for the fair.
“We believe we have a great lineup of musical, stage and on grounds talent to entertain fair goers of all ages,” Zuhn said.
Saturday night’s big headliner will be Joe Nichols, whose albums have produced fourteen Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts including number one singles such as “Brokenheartsville,” “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” “Gimme That Girl,” “Sunny and 75,”and the RIAA-certified GOLD single “Yeah” as well as five other top ten entries.
The four day run of the fair includes a wide-range of musical entertainment from local entertainers to Nashville stars.
Also returning this year is Sunday’s Womanless Talent Show.
Other acts on the fair grounds include: Craig Bickly Professional Rodeo Clown, Ag Adventures, a sand artist, pony rides, and a strolling robocar exhibit.
