According to Fayette County officials, there were 27 active cases and 11 probable cases in the county as of Monday morning. That’s down three active cases from last Wednesday when there were 30 active cases here. According to county officials there have been 10 deaths here attributed to COV- ID since the pandemic began.

National Cooperative Month provides an opportunity for cooperatives to celebrate the benefits of cooperatives with their members and the community. As a special thank you and to celebrate Co-op Month, Colorado Valley Telephone Cooperative and Fayette Electric Cooperative hosted their 3rd Annual Shred Day on Friday, October 2 for their members. PROSHRED, a document shredding firm, provided the on-site shredding truck to shred documents for FEC members in the morning and for CVTC customers in the afternoon. FEC’s Justin Neiser and Aaron Tonn place documents, delivered by FEC members, in the container for PROSHRED’s Alejandro Marin to place in the shredding truck.

At a meeting last Monday, the La Grange City Council met in a closed-door executive session to consult with City Attorney Angela Beck about the lawsuit filed against the City by Tom Hudson and Jator, Inc., the owner of La Grange Subway.
