Turtle Wing To Host Workshop On Vision And Learning Connection

20/20 vision does not guarantee an effective vision system. 1 out of 4 children have an underlying visual deficiency that is affecting their ability to learn. Common signs and symptoms include: reversals, reduced reading speed and comprehension, skipping small words when reading, poor spelling abilities and difficulty with math concepts. Vision processing struggles can be independent from or connected to a dyslexia diagnosis. Turtle Wing invites parents and educators to attend a complimentary seminar to learn more about the vision and learning connection. This will be held on June 8 at 6 p.m. at the Fayette County Ag Building, 255 Svoboda Ln., La Grange. This training will be facilitated by Ashley Coley, Certified Optometric Vision Therapist and Director of Vision Therapy and Outreach at The Optometry Center for Vision Therapy. A light meal will be provided.
