Kirkman Art Exibit Ends this Saturday

At ARTS, the exhibit “Kindred Spirits,” featuring internationally renowned pastel artist Rita Kirkman, leaves the building this Saturday.

Sign up today for ARTS Summer Art Camp. Beginning June 14, camps will be held Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in Fayetteville, La Grange, Schulenburg, and Weimar for children in grades 1-12.

For $95 per week, each student gains insight into theatre, music, painting, gardening, ceramics, woodworking, and many more fine art subjects.

Jonathan Moss Benefit

The benefit held on May 22 at Baca’s 159 for Johnathan Moss was a great success. The community came together to help Johnathan, the grandson of former Mayor Carl and Gail Marino. He has been battling COVID-19 since January. The benefit was held to help get him home.

Graduations

JD and Madeline Kovar have been enjoying attending college graduations for three of their grandchildren. Their granddaughters’ Emily Williams graduated from Baylor and Olivia Kovar graduated from Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. They viewed the graduation of Olivia’s twin brother Zack in a virtual commencement ceremony at UTSA.
