Zweschper Makes it a Five-Way Race for County Judge
Afifth candidate has joined the race for Fayette County Judge.
Mike Zweschper of Schulenburg will run as a Republican for County Judge. Zweschper currently serves as president of the Schulenburg I.S.D. School Board, and he recently stepped down as president of the Schulenburg Festival Association after serving many years in that role. He is employed as the human resources manager at the Dairy Farmers of America plant in Schulenburg.
Zweschper announced his candidacy at a gentlemen’s Christmas party in Schulenburg last Thursday night, Dec. 4. He joins four other Republicans running for Fayette County Judge: Josh Vandever, Josh Homan, William Bernsen and Craig Moreau.
The filing deadline for candidates to run in next year’s primary elections is Monday, Dec. 8.
Fayette County Republican Party Chairman Michael Schlabach reported that Jessica Pietsch filed to run for District Clerk. Pietsch currently works at the District Clerk’s office. The incumbent, Linda Svrcek, has not filed for re-election.
