Year-End Reports
FAYETTE REGIONAL RECYCLE CENTER
Paul Zapalac, Director reported:
The Recycling center is back on track for the biggest year yet.
In 2021, the Commissioner’s adopted the Standard Operating Procedure to clearly define the daily operations of the Fayette County Program to better inform the residents and businesses.
We added two used recycling trailers and 11 bins to better serve the needs of the overall recycling program.
We found a new mulching company to double grind 15,000 cubic yards of brush the largest amount received in a few years, (at half the cost).
We secured a cardboard baler for the Flatonia site to be used in the 2022 site expansion project.
We added a trash compactor at the Schulenburg Yard to become more cost effective and efficient with the needs of the Schulenburg area (and save the Fayette County residents money).

The Fayette County Veterans Service Officer Jesse Lednicky reports:
The Fayette County Veterans Service Officer Jesse Lednicky reports that his office has continued to assist veterans, their spouses, surviving spouses of veterans & other family members of deceased Veterans through this office during this past year. I assumed this role in May and will continue to provide services to the best of my ability. I thank Jackie Wessels former VSO for making this transition go so smoothly.
