Volunteers Stuff 600 Backpacks for Saturday’s Back-to-School Event

This Saturday, Tejas Healthcare will again host its free annual Back to School Festival. Wednesday volunteers, many of them students (some shown above), packed 600 backpacks full of school supplies that will be given away at the event. The supplies were made possible thanks to donations from area businesses, churches and service organizations. Saturday’s festival will be Saturday, Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Tejas Healthcare Community Garden at 753 E. Travis Street in La Grange. Photo by Jeff Wick
