St. John’s-Warrenton Hosts Joint Worship this Sunday
There will not be any church services on Sunday, Aug. 9 at the three churches, only in Warrenton at St. John. Joint worship will be at 9:30 a.m. and will include a back to school blessing. All kids are asked to bring their backpacks.
There will also be a school supply collection for Fayetteville, La Grange and Round/ Carmine schools. Bring any of the following items to donate to these schools: black expo markers, pencil cap erasers, hand sanitizer, paper towels, Clorox wipes, or quart/gallon bags.
Sunday School will begin on Sept. 13 from 3-5 p.m. in Rutersville. This is for children Pre-K-Sixth grade. Sunday School will be the first Sunday of the month with a couple of exceptions throughout the year.
Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church St. Mary’s Catholic Church Mass is Sunday at 8 a.m.
Ellinger Sewer and Water Ellinger Sewer and Water will meet on Monday, Aug. 10 at 6 p.m. at the fire station.
Ellinger Chamber
Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will meet Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. in the chamber dining hall. All chamber and community members are invited to attend.
Mahjong and Mingle
The chamber will host a Mahjong and Mingle event. Come play Mahjong on Sunday, Aug. 30 from 1-6 p.m. $20 per person and you need a group of 4 to sign up. One person within the group needs to bring the complete set to play with and everyone is asked to bring an appetizer. Wear your best Mahjong attire and all levels of players are welcomed. Door prizes will be offered throughout the event.
