Vietnam Veterans Meet, Present 20-Year Pins

The Vietnam Veterans Chapter No. 870 and associates recently held their Christmas Party. President Andy Janda presented charter members 20 year pins.

Those present were Eugene Krupala, Larry Osina, Diane Roeder in memory of her husband Allen Roeder and Daniel Kutac. The following were not present were: A. J. Kutac, James Kohleffel, Wesley Janacek, Roy Smrkovsky, M. J. Williams, Alfred Cron, Allen Hermes, Ronald Antosh, Felton Armstrong, Bob Baker, Eugene Ohnheiser and John Dodson. The group also remembered charter members who have passed away: Stanley Correll, Vernon Zimmermann, Johnnie Houston, Jimmie Baresh, Gilbert Kutac, Milton Gabler and William Ling.

“We are so proud of all the member who made the 20 years and those who did not,” said Kathy Kutac. “The ones who have passed away had medical problems from their time in Vietnam. We are so proud that they belonged to the organization we would not forget to include them in our 20 years of being members. Like it is said, never again will one generation of a veterans abandon another. That stands true for our chapter. Thank you all for being in our chapter and we keep you all in our prayers.”
