VFW Offering Nursing Scholarships

The Department of Texas VFW Auxiliary continues to offer a Nursing Scholarship. Many of our veterans need the skilled and talented services of compassionate nurses. To fulfill this need, there must be nurses available. We continue to need nurses with a Bachelor of Science or a Master’s degree. Nurses work extremely hard and, at times, have exceedingly long hours; it is an honorable profession and one to be proud of.

The Texas VFW Auxiliary is again offering a great scholarship program. Remember, the main requirement to this scholarship: the student must be entering the Senior year of their college nursing program. The District Presidents will contact all the nursing colleges and Universities in Texas. It is up to each auxiliary to promote the Nursing Scholarship Program. If you know of anyone who is in their Junior Year for this year’s Nursing Program, 2021-2022, please share this information with them.
