Vehicle Rolls Out of Driveway, No Injuries Reported
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 16-23.
Traffic Hazard
On May 20, Currington observed a disabled vehicle partially in the roadway in the 1700 block of W. Highway 71. Officer helped get the vehicle pushed into the parking lot.
On May 20, Currington was dispatched to the 1700 block of W. State Highway 71 for a stalled vehicle in the roadway. Officer arrived but the vehicle had already left.
On May 20, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Travis for a vehicle that rolled out of a driveway and across the road into a parking lot. There were no injuries.
On May 21, Emmons responded to the 300 block of E. Lower Line for a large beige container in the roadway.
Assault
On May 19, Chief David Gilbreath responded to the 800 block of E. Guadalupe where complainant reported that he was verbally threatened.
Agency Assist
On May 19, Patrolman Kevin Currington assisted with traffic control for a wide load coming down the bluff.
Accident
On May 16, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a single vehicle accident in the 600 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass.
On May 19, Complainant came into the police station and advised he had his vehicle parked at HEB in the 400 block of Travis and when he came out he noticed damage on the right front fender.
On May 19, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of E Fannin for an accident with an injury. Officer collected information.
On May 21, Patrolman Robin Emmons responded to the 400 block of S. Monroe for a minor accident.
On May 21, Patrolman Justin Koehne spoke with a driver who was involved in an accident in the 400 block of E. Travis. Blue form was issued.
Citizen Assist
On May 17, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 500 block of E. Pearl where caller stated that an elderly subject was walking through the area and was wondering if officers could give her a ride home. Officer spoke to the subject and she insisted on walking home.
Criminal Mischief
On May 20, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a subject that broke a window in a residence in the 600 block of N. Jefferson. Officer arrived and took report.
Disturbance
On May 17, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a disturbance.
On May 19, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Ellinger for a possible disturbance. Officer arrived and could not find a disturbance.
On May 19, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to a possible disturbance at Northwest Circle and Sunset.
On May 22, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Jefferson to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with both subjects. The subjects were separated for the night.
On May 22, Koehne responded to the 1000 block of Highway 159 in reference to an unruly customer. The customer was issued a criminal trespass warning.
On May 22, Emmons responded to the 1100 block of N. Von Minden for a disturbance between a couple.
Lost Item
On May 18, Meinardus was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Washington where caller stated that she was having work done on a bracelet and she believed she put it in her purse but when she returned home she could not find it. Officer took information in case someone brought in the item.
On May 21, Koehne spoke with a subject in the 100 block of E. Pearl about a missing firearm.
On May 22, Emmons spoke with a complainant in the 200 block of W Colorado that advised she lost her front license plate to her vehicle due to flooding.
Motorist Assist
On May 18, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Live Oak in regard to a motorist being stranded in the high water.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On May 16, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr spoke with a subject in the 1700 block of W. State Highway 71 Subject advised officer that he was just resting before walking home.
On May 19, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Washington for a suspicious subject. Officer searched the location and could not locate anyone.
On May 19, Currington checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of W. Colorado. The vehicle belonged to one of the neighboring businesses.
On May 20, Currington was dispatched the 200 block of W. Colorado for a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle belonged to one of the businesses next door.
Trespassing
On May 17, Meinardus responded to the 600 block of N. Jefferson where caller stated that a subject had stayed the night at her house and was now refusing to leave. Officer went to the location and spoke to the subject. Subject agreed to leave and was issued a criminal trespass warning.
Welfare Check
On May 16, Currington responded to the 500 block of W. Colorado for a welfare check where EMS was on scene. Subject was transported by EMS.
On May 19, Currington was dispatched to the 600 block of Walnut for a welfare check. Officer made contact and subject was fine.
On May 19, Currington was dispatched to the 1200 block of E. Eblin for a welfare check. Subject was not at home.
On May 21, Maxwell was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Eblin in regard to a welfare check.
On May 22, Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Monroe in regard to a welfare check.
Miscellaneous
On May 16, Mohr received a call of a plastic burning odor in the 1100 block of W. State Highway 71 Business. Officer arrived and found the fire to be a controlled fire.
On May 16, Mohr initiated a pursuit of a vehicle that was driving reckless on the Highway 71 Bypass at Highway 159.
On May 20, Currington was dispatched to speak with a subject about possible identity theft in the 500 block of E. Lafayette.
On May 23, Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block of S. Washington in regard to loud music. Officer searched the area but was unable to locate any loud music.
