Two Die at House Fire in Muldoon
The Muldoon Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on Nov. 14 at 5:08 p.m., arriving on scene to find a residence fully engulfed with heavy fire conditions. Sadly, firefighters discovered two individuals deceased onscene.
Upon arrival, initial fire suppression priorities focused on protecting nearby uninvolved structures threatened by the blaze. Once exposure protection was established, firefighters initiated a fire attack and were able to bring the fire under control.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office, the Justice of the Peace Pct. 1, Fayette County EMS, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, and the La Grange Fire Department.
Muldoon Fire Chief Stephen Kelly commented , “Our hearts and prayers are with the deceased and those who love them.”
No further details will be released at this time pending the ongoing investigation.
