Turkey and Ham Meal Nov. 9 in Carmine
Martin Luther Lutheran Church Women of the ELCA are sponsoring their annual turkey and dressing and ham meal on Sunday, Nov. 9. It will be catered by Sandtown Catering. Drive-through is from the Mission and Ministry Building from 11:30 a.m.12:30 p.m.
Advance-only tickets are $15 and available at the MLLC church office, Carmine State Bank, and from Leonita Sanders. Call the office at (979) 278-3388 or Sanders at (979) 820-1360.
The Thankoffering service begins that day at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Wilkins serving as the guest speaker. Ladies will take part as readers and ushers.
RT-C School News
Round Top-Carmine JV and varsity volleyball teams play at Fayetteville on Oct. 28 at 5 p.m.
Classes will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.
Oct. 27-31 is Red Ribbon Week.
The next FFA meeting is scheduled for Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m.
Senior volleyball players were recognized at the game on Oct. 14. Playing their last home game were Alin Soto, Avery Nelius, Jessica Rohde, Kaegan Wagner, Makayla Smith, Lizeth Hernandez, and Georgia Bockman, manager. Little Cubettes were also recognized between the JV and varsity matches.
Varsity boys’ basketball games start on Nov. 8 with the Nordheim scrimmages, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Senior Citizens meal pickup and dominoes are Wednesday from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Mission and Ministry Building.
AA meeting is Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
Martin Luther Lutheran Church Sunday School begins at 9 a.m.
Worship service with Holy Communion, observing All Saints Sunday, is at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Karen Buck leading the service. Those who have passed away since All Saints Sunday in 2024 will be remembered.
Domino party is Monday in the Mission and Ministry Building beginning at 1 p.m. All are welcome.
Bingo in Ledbetter
Bingo in Ledbetter will be held on Nov. 9 with play from 2-4 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. A card for $5 covers all games with prizes awarded for each game.
Snacks and drinks will be available for a donation.
This is a non-profit community event for entertainment. Money collected is used for purchase of prizes and other expenses.
Central Texas Food Bank The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 10-11 a.m. It is located near the junction of FM 1291 and FM 2145.
Pick-up is drive-thru method with volunteers loading the pre-boxed food into each vehicle. Clients need to clean out the back seats, trunks, and truck beds to make room for the boxed food. It is for Fayette County residents.
