Tropical Storm to Bring Rain

Tropical storm Nicholas appeared headed for the Texas coast as of press time and was expected to bring rain to Fayette County Monday through Wednesday.

The Houston area and coastal parts of farther east Texas could receive as much as 20 inches of rain, but as of Sunday rain totals here were predicted to be under two inches – of course a change in the storm’s path could alter those predictions significantly.
