Things Get Wild as Local Students Perform ‘The Jungle Book’

Fayette County Community Theatre performed “The Jungle Book” in front of three sold out crowds last Friday-Sunday at The Casino Hall in La Grange.

Fifty-six kids from all across Fayette County participated in the production which was directed by Conner Underwood, who just graduated from La Grange High School this spring and is headed to Texas State University to study theater this fall.

A whole host of adult volunteers also helped to facilitate the production. The kids rehearsed for six weeks prior to opening night.

Next, it’s back to the adult performances. Fayette County Community Theater’s next show is “Of Mice and Men” Nov. 12-14 at the Sanford Schmid Amphitheater.
