Stork’s Retirement Tops List of LGISD Personnel Changes

There will be several new faces at La Grange ISD for the 2026-27 school year.

A long list of personnel changes were announced at Monday’s school board meeting.

At the high school: Cierra McCain will join staff as the head volleyball coach and business teacher. Kaytlyn Steward will be added as a math teacher. Charles Otto will be transferring from the behavior unit to ag mechanics and construction technology. While Keith Cripps will transfer from coach/speech/health to coach/behavior unit.

At the elementary school: Courtney Janca will join the staff as a 6th grade math teacher. Kayden Orebaugh will be coaching and teaching physical education.

Laurie Stork will be retiring at the end of the school year after an impressive career as an English teacher with the district. Jennifer Mendez will not be returning to the elementary campus as well.

Several paraprofessionals have been added to the staff: Everett Cook-after school care counselor, Claudia Esparanza Cardiel-K6 food service worker, Audrey Green- after school care counselor, Scott Herronbus operator, Airyanna Rodriguez- food service manager in training, and Jessica Salinas-K6 food service worker. Also added to the staff as paraprofessionals last month: Tommy Oates-high school aide/coach and LaJuanna Scott-middle school aide.

Eva Llanas transferred from elementary school food service worker to elementary school manager in training.

Paraprofessional resignations and/or terminations are: Ruben Gonzalez-food service manager in training, Joslyn Hensley-high school secretary/ registrar, Amy Amickmiddle school registrar, Nicole Sinclair-finance-athletic clerk, and Melodie York-food service manager in training.
