Steeple Removed for Work

The massive copper steeple atop St. Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange was removed and lowered to the ground Wednesday for some restoration work on both it and the roof of the church. Shown above is the steeple and the crane that lifted it. The steeple will sit in the parking lot adjacent to the church as it is worked on.
