St. Paul-Serbin to Hold Dedication Ceremony Sunday for 1854 Replica Bell
St. Paul Lutheran in Serbin will have a Dedication Ceremony of a bronze replica of the 1854 St. Paul Serbin bell that the Wends brought with them on the Ben Nevis. The Texas Wendish Heritage Society invites everyone to attend this joyous occasion and first ringing of this German made bronze bell on Sunday, May 23 at 3 p.m.
Pastor Aaron Kalbas, Pastor of St. Paul Thorndale, a Wend and son of St. Paul Serbin Congregation, will perform the dedication. Refreshments, including Ben Nevis Beer, will be served afterwards. You will be able to view the display of the bell history and the journey to have the replica made and brought to the museum. The museum complex will be open.

First Graduating Class
Faith Lutheran High School will have their first senior class graduating this spring. Graduation will be held at the church on Saturday May 29 at 1:30 p.m.
Annual Church Picnic
St. Paul Lutheran in Serbin will be having their annual church picnic on Sunday, May 30 at the Serbin picnic grounds on FM 2239. Barbecue (boneless beef, pork and chicken) will be sold by the pound only from 9 a.m. until sold out. The Ladies Aid stand will be selling potato salad, bean, noodles and pastries of all kinds. Youth League hamburger stand will begin selling at 4 p.m. Children’s booth and games, barrel train rides for the kids, sponsored by the PTLS begins at 2 p.m. Entertainment will be provided from 3-8 p.m. by the Czech Melody Masters. The Wendish Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to come out and be a part of the continuing celebration.
Summer Camps
Faith Lutheran High School will offer youth summer camps this summer. Ages are for grades NEXT school year. Classes offered are: June 7-9, Volleyball (Grades 3-8) $15; June 14-16, Basketball (Grades K-8) $15; June 21-23, Art Camp (Grades K-6) $30; June 28-30, STEM Camp (Grades K-6) $30.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 28-30 each evening at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Registration information will be coming soon. They are in need of some supplies you may have if you are cleaning out closets or toy boxes. Items they are looking for include gently used Lego’s, building blocks, Lincoln Logs, etc. Large cardboard boxes, kids building materials and cardboard building blocks. You can bring these by the church office during the week or contact Chelsea Beck at (940) 704-0040.
Sympathy Extended
Our sympathy to Ralph and Carolyn Bamsch on the death of Carolyn’s aunt, Hattie Schautschick. Her funeral was held Thursday, May 20 at St. Paul Serbin.
Bible Study
A Bible Study meets each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. This is an eleven-week course, covering the first eighteen chapters of the book of Exodus. Everyone is welcome to join as we walk along with the Israelites on their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. Holy Cross Services

Sewing Circle
The sewing circle meets each Thursday from 9 am to noon in the old fellowship hall. Everyone is welcome to join this group.
