Some COVID Restrictions Are Lifted

COVID-19 hospitalizations across the region dipped below 15 percent, easing restrictions that the State had put in place for the region two weeks ago.

Those restrictions limited certain procedures at hospitals, required restaurants to limit capacity to 50 percent, and required bars to close indoor services. Fayette County had applied for a waiver to the restrictions. The waiver became a moot point after hospitalizations fell below the 15 percent threshold.

Restaurants are now back to 75 percent capacity and bars can serve at 50 percent capacity.
