Snake Man to Visit Round Top Family Library
The Round Top Family Library presents Kids S.E.E. “Snake Man” Thursday, June 17 from 2-4 p.m. Clint Pustejovsky has been studying snakes since age 5 – come listen as he shares his passion. Young Persons’ Concert
Make plans to attend the free Young Persons’ Concert in the Concert Hall at Festival Hill Tuesday, June 22 at 11 a.m. Reservations required. Submit the reservation online or call (979) 249-3129. The Texas Festival Orchestra will begin the program with a performance of Toy Symphany by Joseph Haydn. The program will conclude with Carnival of the Animals, by Camille Saint-Saens.
Monday Night Socials
The Round Top Rifle Hall’s Monday Night Social takes place on the first through fourth Mondays of the month from 5:30 - 8 p.m. at the Round Top Rifle Hall. Round Top C of C Meets

Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Holy Communion is celebrated using individual, prepackaged units. Council will meet Sunday after church at 10:30 a.m. Rug Hookers meet Monday at 10 a.m. Sewing Circle meets Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Vacation Bible School will be Monday, June 28 – Thursday, July 1 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
There will be a joint worship with St. Paul, Shelby, on Saturday, July 3 at 6 p.m.
There will not be any worship service on Sunday, July 4 at either location. Registration forms are available at the church.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church Ruth Circle met for Bible study on Thursday, June 3 at 9:30 a.m. with Pastor John David Nedbalek leading the lesson on Wisdom.
He started with a movie clip from the l994 version of “The Lion King.” This showed learning from your past and accepting responsibility but also teaching. Just wisdom comes to us through reverence for our awesome God. Wisdom can mean common sense or practical understanding. Wisdom academically can be scholarly knowledge or education. Wisdom from our elders comes from their lifelong experiences; things they know and have experienced. Common wisdom gets us through day-to-day situations while Holy wisdom guides us when we do not know the way. God is not intimidated by chaos and uncertainty.
The hymns sung were ‘Come and Seek the Ways of Wisdom” and “Canticle of the Turning”. Jolene Wickel was the organist and Jeanette Schoenst served as hostesses. Next meeting will be July l. Welcome to all new members and others are invited to join the discussions.
City of Refuge Church
